Overview

Created as a passion project, Prototype 72 began with a simple question: what would it look like if a real performance icon was pushed into the visual language of childhood imagination, model kits, anime, and future racing?

Concept

The story begins with a traveler arriving at a foreign space colony and activating a control override. What starts as a familiar sports car transforms into a racing machine charged with the spirit and visual language of anime, sci-fi, and childhood imagination.

At the heart of the narrative is the Acura NSX, celebrated for its sleek proportions, mechanical precision, and dynamic performance. The film uses that foundation as a starting point, then pushes the vehicle into a more expressive and futuristic form.

We teamed up with renowned concept artist Robbie Trevino (Love Death and Robots), who lends his expertise to morph the NSX into something that feels like an exploration of childhood fantasies.

Visual Meets Narrative

Every design decision was tied to the story. From the industrial hangar environment to the transformation sequence and high-speed racing moments, the film used visual detail to make the world feel functional, tactile, and cinematic.
