For Porsche’s Next Generation Configurator, we created a cinematic video experience that lets users personalize the vehicle in real time while seeing each configuration come to life in motion.

Introduction

The experience was designed to move beyond a static configurator. Instead of viewing isolated product images, users could watch the car in cinematic driving scenarios while changing exterior color, wheels, environment, time of day, and vehicle attributes.

Concept

Throughout the experience, users can customize the vehicle in real time and instantly see those choices reflected in motion. The system blends CG and live-action footage to make each configuration feel cinematic, responsive, and true to the Porsche driving experience.

By blending CG and live action, the system could adapt to different times of day, environments, vehicle options, and driving characteristics without losing the realism of the film.

The result is a configurator that feels closer to a film than a product tool. Each selection changes the mood, setting, and character of the vehicle, helping users experience their Porsche as a moving, personalized story.
