For the reveal of The First Berserker: Khazan, we helped create a cinematic trailer that introduced the game’s brutal world, central character, and distinct visual language.
Blood, saliva, and cloth were built as reusable Houdini setups, so each new shot started from a working system instead of a blank scene. The playblasts below show the sims in their raw working state.

The procedural workflow allowed our team to adapt the effects across different characters, creatures, and environments while maintaining visual consistency. Each element was then integrated through shot-specific lighting, rendering, and final look development.
This required Houdini-driven blood, snow, saliva, and hair systems, supported by shot lighting and beauty renders that carried the game’s brutal, painterly tone through every frame.

Each frame was refined through lighting, rendering, and compositing to balance atmosphere, character clarity, and visual impact. Cold environmental lighting, deep shadows, and concentrated crimson effects established a cohesive cinematic language for the world of Khazan.

The finished announcement trailer introduced The First Berserker: Khazan through a cinematic first look shaped by atmosphere, character, and visceral effects. Released for Nexon, the trailer reached more than one million views on YouTube.
